Jabuticaba meyvesi ya da diğer adıyla Brezilya Üzüm ağacı olarak bilinen bu meyve ağacın gövdesinde yetişmektedir. Meyve mor renge döndüğü zaman olgunlaştığı anlaşılmaktadır. Jabuticaba meyvesinin anavatanı Paraguay, Arjantin ev Brezilya ‘dır. Serinletici özelliğe sahip olan sulu bir yaz meyvesidir.

Çilekten biraz daha büyük olan meyvaları uzun süre saklanabiliyor.Her ağaç 2 yılda bir meyva veriyor ve bu meyvaların su; reçel, marmelat ve meyva suyu olarak kullanılıyor...
