Ukelele, violin, piano, keyboards, trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, timpani... From accordian and banjo to xylophone and zither, you can learn any instrument easier and faster. Saving Slowed Songs for Other Music PlayersSpeed & Pitch EncoderThe Guitar & Drum Trainer Speed & Pitch Encoder lets you save slowed down and pitch shifted audio files that you can put on your hardware MP3 player or play in other audio software. All files are encoded with high quality settings for the best audio playback quality.
When choosing to save the new slowed down/pitch shifted audio file from the main Guitar & Drum Trainer interface, the GDT Speed & Pitch Encoder automatically selects the song that you're currently playing, the playback speed that you're using, and the amount that you're currently shifting the pitch by. You have only to choose a new file name and click "Encode Now!" In a few seconds the encoding is finished and you have your new audio file that you can play in your compatible hardware MP3 player or in other compatible audio software.
But if you wish to change things, just choose the audio file, a new name for the new file, select the audio format, set the new speed, set a pitch shift, and click "Encode Now!" The GDT Speed & Pitch Encoder will process the audio file quickly and easily for you.
The default audio format is FLAC (Free Lossless Audio Codec), but a LAME MP3 encoder is available as a separate download.
FLAC provides lossless audio compression. In regular English, that means it provides the highest quality possible. As such, we recommend using FLAC whenever possible. An addtional benefit is that the FLAC encoding is very fast, and much faster than MP3 encoding.
However, many hardware MP3 players (like the popular iPod series) do not support FLAC (for some bizarre reason that we don't understand). With MP3 being ubiquitous on virtually every hardware portable audio player, the LAME MP3 encoder provides flexibility, although it will not produce the same lossless quality as FLAC.
By downloading LAME and extracting the LAME.EXE file to the Guitar & Drum Trainer program file folder, you can add in MP3 encoding functionality. Guitar & Drum Trainer will automatically recognize if you've done this and add in the MP3 option for you. It then passes the audio and high-quality LAME settings to LAME.EXE to encode your new slowed down/pitch shifted audio file.
Nothing above can truly tell you why why Guitar & Drum Trainer is chosen by professional musicians, guitar teachers, aspiring amateurs, and others that want to improve their musicianship. Only diving in and trying it for yourself can tell you if Guitar & Drum Trainer is for you.
System RequirementsGuitar & Drum Trainer requires the following for optimal performance:
• Micrsoft Windows 2000 / XP / Vista (x86 / x64)
• Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 (Download .NET 2.0 for x86 or x64)
• CPU 2.0 GHz or higher
• RAM 512 MB or higher
• Sound and speakers or headphones*
• Your own music**
• A desire to
PLAY LOUD AND ROCK HARD! (Ok... You can still play soft rock if that's what you're into...)
Computers with lower specs are not supported, but by adjusting the various performance options in Guitar & Drum Trainer, you can still use it.
* Sound card and speaker quality vary widely. For better results, speakers or headphones that can deliver at least a range of 20Hz to 20,000Hz would be a minimum requirement. For music with a wider range, such as a symphony, speakers with a range of 3Hz to 30,000Hz will perform better. This is particularly important for trying to filter instruments from music. i.e. How can you fix things when you can't hear them properly?
** MP3 is not recommended. It is a lossey format and distorts the music. Any of FLAC, WMA Lossless or WAV are excellent choices and will give you superior results
